About
Matt Gombau is a singer-songwriter and guitarist from Brussels, crafting intimate, atmospheric indie folk. Influenced by artists such as Ben Howard, The Tallest Man on Earth, and Damien Rice, he blends heartfelt songwriting with organic soundscapes that feel both grounded and expansive.
After gaining attention with singles like Breathe and On My Way, his debut EP Mountain Calls (2024) marked the beginning of his artistic journey. He has since continued to develop a distinctive voice through honest storytelling and emotionally rich compositions.
His second EP, Down To Earth (2026), explores loneliness, self-reflection, uncertainty, and the search for hope. Written during a period of personal questioning, the four-track record captures moments of vulnerability while embracing resilience, renewal, and human connection.
Currently, Matt is writing new music and laying the foundations for his first full-length album.
